Where is a better place to go on vacation - Savannah or Charleston?

We are planning on saving money and driving for vacation down south in mid-April (we live in Virginia). Which of these cities would be better for a 5 - 6 day vacation? We are NOT looking for good clubs or nightlife.

We also are trying to avoid the Easter vacation crowds - I figured either of these cities would be better than the beach.

   we visit charleston usually once a month because we have friends there…in april it will be extremely crowded. there will be a lot to do as far as the food tents and stuff going on down at the park though. great restaurants aplenty…lots of strolling…you may get bored after 2 days though. Ive been to savannah….gorgeous…yummy food as well…again just really laid back.

   Both are beautiful I would split my time 2 or 3 days at each and try looking up some of the B and Bs they are great
