CABO SAN LUCAS IS EASY TO GET TO FROM THE WEST COAST.
PLAYA DEL CARMEN MEXICO WITH A CHANGE IN DALLAS OR HOUSTON IS EASY TO GET TO.
I will not recommend specific places. I suggest you contact a local travel agent. They are the experts at advising based on your budget and needs. Keep mom and pop agencies in business.

I’ll second Cabo San Lucas. Resorts are excellent, perfect for doing nothing. Shopping in Cabo and in San Jose (only about 20 minute drive).
