What are the top vacation sites in the continental United States?

My husband and I won a free vacation to anywhere in the U.S. and we have no idea where we want to go! We thought we would start with the best vacation sites and work our way from there.

   Las Vegas is my choice. My kids like Orlando. It really depends on what you like to do. If you like sight seeing there are a lot of great places to see. If you like US history the east coast.

   It depends where you are coming from and what kinds of things you would like to see.

   For the beauty in the country, see the top National Parks - you will see people ther from all over the world:
   - The Grand Canyon
   - Yellowstone National Park
   - Niagara Falls (not a National Park, but beautiful)

   For excitement:
   - go down the coast of California - from the top expensive homes in Monterrey to the beaches of San Diego
   - go to NASA’s space launch site in Florida
   - visit the Florida Keys
   - in summer, go to Alaska and see the aurora borealis - if it’s considered in your continental package.

   Those are my top picks. Places I’ve been or where I intend to go.
