What are some hot vacation spots in North Korea?

Mr Average Joe asked:

I’m planning on a vacation to North Korea soon.

Are there any vacation hot spots?

What airlines fly from Indianapolis to North Korea?

I hear that the location on the Wikipedia link on the source below can get pretty hot. Especially during the testing of one of their nuclear bombs.

Plan again. There are no “vacation spots”.North Korea doesn’t allow many visitors in the country. Less than 2,000 a year. And while you’re there, there’s someone by your side to escort you around.

Your odds of getting into North Korean are slim and non.
There are no hot vacation spots in the country.
They did allow some South Koreans to visit, but then they killed a woman walking on the beach, so that stopped.
There is no airlines that flies from the U.S. to North Korea, non.
If you are confused between North and South, and you really mean to go to the South, then there are several good places.
Je Judo island is a great place, and there are several airlines that will take you to the South.
You don’t need a visa, you can visit without any problems.

uhh do you mean South* Korea?
because you’re most likely not going to get in North Korea easily and it’s NOT the place to go for a vacation.

There are no hot vacation spots in North Korea. It is a country where people are starving to death on a daily basis. Outsiders are not welcome there and it is a third world disaster area.

If you are really asking a serious question, NK actually has a small tourist industry, but as other posters have said, you are escorted everywhere…no wandering around on your own. Also, if you are American, your chances of getting a visit are slim to none.

However, if you do get to go, you would get the package tour put on by Koryo Tours or one of the other agencies that will take you to various sites in Pyongyang and then you will go over to Wonsan and get some of their famous seafood. Finally, they will take you up to Baektusan..the mythical birthplace of Kim Jong Il. That area is actually quite breathtaking…looks a lot like Lake Tahoe area.

There are no flights from Indianapolis.
