Do you prefer a long vacation after a school year or short vacations throughout the year?

I really don’t like my school vacation system, it gives us a long vacation after a LONG school year. We get bored and we remain inactive throughout the 3 vacation months.

So, what is your school vacation system and do you like it? if not.. why?
