Mammoth Mountain/Mammoth Lakes. It is great skiing in the winter - but I LOVE it more in the summer. Beautiful mountains and lakes. You can get fantastic rates because they make all their money in the winter. The summer, they're hurting for business. Great hikes, volcanoes, earthquake faults, waterfalls.
