who takes separate vacations??? what’s the point in being married? if you don’t want to be together something is obviously wrong.

There’s nothing wrong with spouses taking separate vacations once in awhile. Every couple needs their own private down time. Sometimes the guy just needs to be with the guys and his wife just needs to be with the gals.

Springing something like this on a mate at the very last moment is inconsiderate if the person is just going to take off without making sure it’s okay.

If the disapproval is because the partner being left with the kids is jealous or resentful then the jealous partner needs to deal with it- not the person wanting to go on the vacation.

i take vacations with my girl cousin once a year but i make sure it is okay with my husband before hand. he can do the same if he likes but he doesn’t want to, he likes going with me. if we just sprung this kind of stuff on each other, i know that there would be a big fight.

Give her a last chance and when she returns,tell her what you think about her decisions and let her know you dont like it.

Not a good thing . Who else is going ? Ever see “fatal attraction” ? I would almost bet a person of the opposite sex is involved somewhere, We plan short trips without each other, but it is a 2 day fishing trip with son or wife goes to see daughter.

No problem with separate vacations. All couples need a bit of separate time, to refresh themselves. But they should be planned.

It is the beginning of the end.

I would be concerned and think that there might be something going on. I think if my husband ever did that I would give him an ultimatum. he can have his vacations or he can have me and the kids. I wouldn’t put up with him just taking off whenever he wanted to.

It sounds terrible to me. I can’t imagine not going on vacation together. Some people do it and it works for their relationship but personally I never want that type of relationship.
