How much could I buy the cheapest PSP for and sell it after vacation?

Unless you can find a moron buyer (and yes, you can, but it’s not a guarantee), you’ll never recoup that much on used electronics.
Cars are the only other things that depreciate as much as technology. I know it doesn’t make sense — I mean, a PSP is a PSP, as long as there aren’t huge scratches on the screen, etc.
But let’s be honest: no matter their claims, people don’t treat their valuables as well as they should, and if you open up any PSP, you’re going to find bread crumbs, lint, and who knows what else (I shudder to think) inside, meaning the buttons will wear prematurely, etc. So really, there’s something to the whole depreciation thing. The problem is that even if you are the rare type who actually takes good care of your stuff, you’ll have trouble convincing potential buyers of the value of good care.
I wouldn’t expect more than 75% of initial cost, and more like 50% from a sniper on eBay (I have nothing against snipers, I’m just throwing that out so you can decide whether to have a minimum bid/reserve price or not).
