the cheapest time is during the week.
Check ebay and do a timeshare you can get a 4/3 for like $60 but you will have to do a 90 min tour but its worth it you may even get some show tickets

If Southwest Airline or Allegiant Airline are in your area, try them. Other than that, you hit the major sites.

The best deals for both air and hotels are usually with the airlines themselves. I would try Southwest Vacations or US Airways Vacations. Depending on where you are, these are usally the cheapest packaged deals. You can even buy transports to the hotels from the airport and everything in one package. They are pretty easy to navigate and will show you the cost breakdown for different hotels and flights. I have used both of these specifically for travel to LV. Compare the prices on Vegas.com, which uses US Airways/American West, but is always higher than if you go direct to their site.
Good luck and have fun in Vegas!

Often groups will not only block out rooms at a hotel, they will charter a flight. IE: A large group books in Minneapolis and goes as a group to Vegas. Same plane, same hotel. Since they do it as a group, they can get some very cheap rates.
Check out AAA or AARP or some other group and see what specials they offer.
