Is there an affordable way to find vacation packages to Mexico?

Can somebody give me ideas without insulting me (I am not cheap, I just don’t have a lot of money) My daughters area strait A students an I promised something sensational for the family , they asked me for a trip to Mexico :-[ now I realize I might not be able to afford it. Is there any place we can go with only 3500 icluding flight? oh boy now I feel really stupid asking this question…
We are in San Francisco CA, and I have vacation from the 12-25 of August.
