How do you choose a vacation destination?

I would plan for small vacation in 2008. And there are so many places. 1 weeks I think it would be enough. Do any of you would like to share your vacation experience? Where you been? What did you do, etc.. It 's for me and maybe a friend or a mom. I 'm in my last 20' s, but I 'm not planning to do anything adventurous. Just need a small game. Feel free to correct their answers.
