Up until the 1960’s, they used to have ships that people could travel around the world on. Sometimes they consisted of a few cabins set aside for that purpose on commercial freighters. Can people still travel that way, without subjecting themselves to Las Vegas style musical shows and giant buffets and all that nonsense? I think it would be a nice way to travel.

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon, we will be spending a few days in Vegas and would like to take a drive over to the california coast. .We would like to stay around the Los Angeles area, the closer to the beach the better. We also love night life and dancing (salsa in particular) so some nightlife would also be ideal. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks
