Jennie asked: I am a teenager interested in exploring the world. What countries prove to be cheaper than others? Would you recommend a (long) vacation or a work abroad program, cost wise? Perhaps I should just become a vagabond!

sleepy0043@sbcglobal.net asked: my family and I always go to the same places for vacation because i have a brother who is in a wheel chair. We wanted to go some place different like Hawaii or something fun like that but it is hard because of my brother. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any travel places that specialize in planning vacations for people who have disabilities? All different types of places including other countries are options for us.
A little info about him: he is 17 , in a wheel chair and has cerebral palsy.
so if anyone has any ideas or knows of a website or a travel place that specializes or can help us plan a trip for next year that would be great.
Create a video blog…instantly.

tangerine asked: I know that the Third Reich had a program called Strength through Joy, which provided holidays (both domestic and international), concerts, plays, and other events to entertain the German people. However, I was wondering if the vacations were free to the people who took them or if they just got discounts that enabled them to go. Does anyone here know?

Oh, well! asked: I am a preschool teacher, currently on unpaid vacations, and my boss keeps on contacting me to ask me to write last minute progress reports, recommendations, etc. She even wants me to make myself available for a 4-hour meeting on a Saturday or Sunday at some point during the summer… I am so totally flabagasted by her requests that I almost wonder if this is standard practice. And I don’t even know where to start to tell her that I think it is out of line -I have already refused to take care of her previous requests, telling her that I had another job over the summer (still have to pay the bills!!) and that I did not have time to write progress reports but she keeps on asking… I would love some input from other teachers or school administrators.
Thank you very much to everyone who answered. Your feedback were very helpful. I ended up offering to go to work for a couple of hours on one day to do some prep work for next year because I wanted to be the one making decisions on a specific project. But I refused to write progress reports for some parents who have just decided to put their children in another school and suddenly need letters of recommendation. I also specified that I would not be available for the remainder of the summer because I really needed the break. As some of you pointed out, I am a little sick of people who think teachers should be ever so thankful for having summers off and we should just do everything we are asked for without complaining. I am NOT paid during the summers. I actually wait tables 6 days a week to be able to pay for my mortgage. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE having the summers off. But I also know I am a very valuable teacher and I don’t feel the need to suck up to anyone for fear to lose my job

becky asked: I recently booked a trip for my family through Apple Vacations. We booked five people and three room. When booking, the flights were listed as “nonstop.” Upon inspecting our confirmation emails, I noticed our return flight in fact has one stop. I’m agitated that we will have this stop on our return flight and am planning on calling Apple to complain. What type of compensation can I expect for what I deem false advertising of the return flight? Is a room upgrade out of reach? thanks.

haditforgood asked: And what would you say if your spouse took his?or her vacation without getting your blessing or approval? In other words if they just spring it on you at the last minute, then take off for 2 or 3 day weekend vacations no matter what the spouse left at home with the kids thinks?

Marge C asked: We normally take the boat out into deeper water and go swimming, tubing, or wakeboarding and have never seen any snakes out there. But recently near shore we’ve seen a few black snakes and even a copperhead.
